- AED and Narcan availability: year‑one total of 101 automated external defibrillators (AEDs) placed toward a five‑year target of 250 (40.4% of the goal). - Community referral registry: 31 private and nonprofit agencies registered in the county care referral system (31% of the five‑year goal of 100). - Animal shelter live‑release rate: December release rate of 94% and a year average of 90% (goal met). - Tourism events: 11 multi‑day events bringing overnight visitors in year one toward a five‑year goal of 20. - Permit-review performance: year‑average residential review time 5.42 days, commercial review 22.42 days (county goal had been 7 days residential and 30 days commercial). - Infrastructure goals: 36.6 lane‑miles resurfaced in year one toward a 100‑mile five‑year goal; 8.32 miles of sidewalks/trails added toward 20‑mile goal; stormwater pipe and ditch work 4,404 linear feet toward a 10,000‑foot goal.
Teverell said staff will bring a one‑year reevaluation of the strategic plan recommendations and that departments would present additional goal detail as needed. Commissioners asked clarifying questions about which goals should be revised and how frequently the board should review performance measures.
Teverell said many goals exceeded expectations and recommended a one‑year review rather than waiting 30 months, as originally planned, so the board can refine targets and reporting cadence.
