On Jan. 22 the Franklin County Board of Commissioners approved a consent agenda that included claim vouchers and tax change orders totaling $2,034,339.75 and the minutes from its Jan. 13 and Jan. 8 meetings.
The vote to approve the consent agenda passed without recorded opposition. Commissioners answering in the roll call were Commissioner Saldemeyer, Commissioner Wehmeyer, Commissioner Meador and Chair Harris, each recorded as voting yes. The motion and the second were made on the floor but the transcript did not identify who moved or seconded.
The approval came early in the meeting after the invocation and a call for public comment, during which no members of the public spoke. The consent item was presented as a single package; the board did not separate any vouchers or minutes for individual discussion or amendment.
The meeting then continued to staff reports and other agenda items.
