Overton County board approves $103,719 transfer from fund balance for service vehicles

Board member Ricky Dodson moved the measure and Ben Danner seconded it. Dodson said the funds were previously approved before the COVID-19 pandemic but vehicle delivery was delayed; the transfer restores the previously authorized amount so the district can complete the purchases.
The motion passed on a recorded roll call during the meeting. Members recorded as voting “yes” during the roll call were Mitch Dunsacker, Melissa Savage, Alice Reed, Shirley Myers, Mike Hayes, Ricky Dodson, Ben Danner, James Clouse, Ashley Carr and William Maxton. The board chair announced the motion passed.
The board did not specify vendor names or delivery dates during the meeting. Staff indicated the district is moving forward to reauthorize the budgeted funds so procurement can proceed.
