The Kanarraville Planning and Zoning Commission on Feb. 6 voted to forward a proposed home addition for Carter Williams at 70 West 200 South to the town council for review.
Applicant representatives described a 6-foot “pop-out” addition to a family room. According to the presentation, Platt and Platt Engineering is preparing the official plans, REM Construction will perform the remodel work, and Brandon Johnson is handling electrical work. The applicant said the work will add two new electrical outlets and two lights, and that no HVAC or plumbing changes are planned. The applicant also said they are coordinating with the county on required approvals and expected to have official plans available soon.
A commissioner moved to send the application to the town council and another commissioner seconded; the commission recorded the motion as approved by voice vote. The commission did not grant final construction approval; the referral places the matter on the council agenda for action next week.
