The Kanarraville Planning and Zoning Commission on Feb. 6 closed a public hearing on a subdivision plan update and voted to forward the update to the town council for consideration at the council's meeting next week.
The move sends the draft subdivision plan update—previously the subject of a public hearing—up to the town board for final consideration. Commission members closed the hearing by voice vote and later approved a motion to transmit the update to the town council.
Commission Chair (identified in the meeting record as the meeting chair) opened the public hearing and then closed it during the same meeting. A motion to close the public hearing was made by a commission member and seconded by another commission member; the commission recorded approval by voice vote. Later the commission made a separate motion to send the subdivision plan update to the town council; that motion also passed by voice vote.
The commission did not adopt the plan itself at the Feb. 6 meeting. Town council action is scheduled for the council's next meeting, when council members will have the opportunity to discuss and vote on the update.
