The City of Grand Prairie Planning and Zoning Commission on Feb. 10 approved an amendment to a specific use permit affecting the property at 44226 East Main (case UP24090040) after staff said an address had been omitted from the original notification list.
Staff told commissioners the item had been heard previously and recommended for approval by the planning commission on Jan. 13, but the omission of a property owner in the original mailing required the matter to be returned for another public hearing to meet state notification rules. No changes to the proposed permit were reported by staff.
There were no public speaker cards for the item. Commissioner Janie Adakari moved to close the public hearing and approve the specific use permit amendment per development review committee recommendations; Commissioner Chapman seconded. The chair called the vote, which passed unanimously.
Staff did not report changes to the proposal itself; the action addressed the notification omission and restored the commission's prior recommendation to proceed to city council.
