The Wagner City Council approved a final pay application of $235,000 to McGuire Iron Incorporated for the Maple Park Water Tower Improvements and authorized payment of an $18,200 invoice to Infrastructure Solutions Group LLC for inspection and engineering work, the council decided at a special meeting Dec. 30 at Wagner City Hall.
The final pay application covered the contractor’s final payout after the project passed its final inspection, a city staff member said during the meeting. The engineering invoice was described as payment for inspection and related engineering services for the Maple Park tower and was charged to the project account.
Both items were presented by a representative of Infrastructure Solutions Group LLC, the consulting engineers on the project. The staff representative said the tower had been painted and had completed final inspection before the pay application was presented. "This is for the Maple Park tower. It's been painted. It's all done. Had the final inspection," the staff member said.
Councilmembers called for a motion and voted by roll call on both items. The roll-call record names Higginbotham, Waggoner, Butler, Abernathy, North and Sampson; each recorded a "yes" vote on both the pay application and the engineering invoice. The meeting record did not identify the individual who made the motion or who seconded by name in the roll-call sequence; the motion and second were recorded on the audio transcript but not tied to a named councilmember in the roll-call lines.
The meeting packet and staff comments say the Maple Park water tower project is funded with ARPA funds passed through Wagoner County; the staff presenter referred to those ARPA funds when discussing project payment and accounting. The city also said it would post meeting materials and notices on the city's Facebook page.
The council took no further action on the tower at the meeting and moved on to other agenda items.
