At its Jan. 2 meeting the City of Evansville Tree Advisory Board took several voice votes on routine and site-specific items.
Retain officers: The board voted to retain the slate of officers from 2024. Motion to retain the current slate was made and seconded; the board approved by voice vote.
Approval of minutes: The board approved minutes for October, November and December 2024 after a motion and second.
Teacoppel Elementary School tree removal: The board approved removal of one tree at Teacoppel Elementary School with a four-for-one replacement requirement. Motion by Mike; second by Larry; approved by voice vote. Replacement trees will be planted on the school's parking-lot corners; species to be coordinated with city staff.
Parks Department removal request (carryover): The item was continued for one month at the Parks Department's request so staff could provide additional information. Motion to continue was seconded and approved.
721 Southeast Third Street: The board approved removal of a hazardous street tree at 721 Southeast Third Street after confirming the property owner and neighborhood association were, or will be, notified. Motion moved and seconded; approved by voice vote.
