The Village of Clemmons Council approved routine procedural items and heard municipal announcements during its Dec. 9, 2024 meeting.
Procedural votes - The council approved the minutes of the Nov. 25, 2024 regular meeting (motion and unanimous vote recorded). - The council approved the meeting agenda as presented (motion and unanimous vote recorded). - The council approved the 2025 meeting and holiday schedules; the council noted the Jan. 13 retreat will replace the regular meeting that evening and that the second meeting in May will fall on the Tuesday following Memorial Day under the adopted schedule. The motion to approve the 2025 meeting and holiday schedules passed unanimously.
Announcements and events - Marketing and events coordinator Lynette Fox reported on the village tree lighting event the prior Thursday and thanked residents for attending. She also reported that, as of the morning of Dec. 9, Village Pointe Lake Pier is closed for safety reasons; temporary bank fishing was allowed and the pond was stocked with trout that morning.
