County clerk given OK to retitle positions and recruit to fill elections specialist vacancy

Under the change, the full-time position that will be vacant will be advertised as an elections specialist (title change), and the current full-time role held by another employee will be retitled to elections coordinator — neither change will alter pay grade or headcount.
Clark said the elections office is small — four full-time positions — and the vacancy affects critical operations given statutory election duties. Commissioners moved and seconded the request to approve the title changes and to allow Human Resources to post and recruit for the elections specialist position; the motion passed.
