Montgomery County commissioners approved the consent agenda at their Feb. 2025 meeting. The consent slate included budget and administrative items that the board voted to adopt without separate discussion.
Key items approved on the consent agenda included a project budget ordinance for an airport beacon replacement project; the county’s financial reports; authorization to advertise unpaid 2024 real estate taxes; approval of tax abatements; and the register of deeds report. The board also approved appointments and reappointments: Curtis Bennett to the planning board; Bernie Blake to the airport advisory committee; Lucio Rodriguez to the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC); and the reappointment of Brent Salazar to the JCPC (moving from slot 12A to slot 20).
A motion to approve the consent agenda was made, seconded, and the board voted “Aye.” No separate roll‑call vote was recorded in the transcript for the individual consent items.
Why it matters: consent agendas bundle routine administrative, budgetary and personnel items for efficiency; each approved item carries the same legal effect as if it had been considered individually. The airport beacon ordinance will advance a listed capital project, and appointments fill advisory and statutory committee vacancies.
Next steps: staff will implement the approved budget ordinance items and process the appointments and tax actions authorized on the consent agenda.
