Pulaski council approves borrowing, grant application, contracts and equipment bids

The Pulaski City Council on an administratively busy meeting approved several resolutions and procurement steps intended to complete wastewater and water projects, pursue housing funds and authorize routine equipment purchases.

Council members approved a resolution authorizing the city to borrow $5,000,000 to finish work on the wastewater treatment plant, voted to submit an application to the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) Home Fund Grant program, adopted engineering contracts and change orders for water and sewer projects, and authorized an emergency repair to an altitude valve that serves the Jackson tank.

The borrowing resolution was presented as the final funding step to complete ongoing wastewater treatment plant construction and was approved by roll call.
