Dana Lazenby, identified in the meeting as a director involved with the community network, praised current board members and urged commissioners to reappoint experienced panelists. "Our board is is amazing," Lazenby said, noting the members' lived experience and long-term commitment to the organization. Commissioners and staff discussed the statutory categories required for OCHN board composition and agreed to solicit applications for the public seat to avoid last-minute delays if the incumbent declined to reapply.
The committee motioned to reappoint the three incumbents and to open a recruitment for the general-public seat; clerk staff confirmed the committee vote as 7 ayes and 0 nays. The recruitment timeline and a follow-up to confirm John Paul Torres's intent were directed to staff.
