The City of Miami Civil Service Board voted Oct. 28 to keep its Nov. 18 meeting on the calendar, cancel meetings scheduled for Nov. 25 and Dec. 23, and confirm Dec. 9 as the final meeting of the year.

Board Member Lanier moved to keep the Nov. 18 meeting (noting he would not attend) and to cancel the Nov. 25 and Dec. 23 meetings; Board Member Jimenez seconded. The motion passed unanimously.

Board members noted that no hearings were scheduled for Nov. 18 after earlier continuances; the board decided the Nov. 18 session would be retained for routine business such as personnel extensions and other non‑hearing agenda items. With the cancellations, the calendar as discussed in the meeting will have the next board meeting on Nov. 18 and then Dec. 9, 2025, to close out the year.

The board instructed its clerk and staff to update the public calendar and notify affected parties of the cancellations and the retained Nov. 18 date.
