The Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Commission approved seven subdivision plat cases and rendered recommendations on three rezoning requests at its Oct. 9 public hearing, voting to forward approvals and one denial to the Jefferson County Commission as part of its regular docket.
The commission carried routine subdivision business in a batch. Approved subdivision cases included S230003 (Brook Hollow Estate Second Sector, three lots), S250055 (Jolly Bend Subdivision, three lots), S250056 (Pridmore resurvey, two lots), S250058 (Spencer and Lee resurvey, one lot), S250059 (Francisco’s Addition to Bessemer, one lot), S250060 (Vance resurvey, two lots) and S250065 (Chandler survey, one lot). In each subdivision case the commission recorded a motion for approval; in several cases the motions included exceptions to subdivision regulations to allow lots to be recorded without road frontage when staff and the commission found the exception appropriate.
