Nami said the building was constructed in two phases and that his proposal covers the original street‑facing portion; he said his finances will permit replacing the street‑facing windows now and, over time, he hopes to make the remainder match as funds allow. He also said the building historically has been used for commercial purposes (he referenced a prior occupant, Kirkland and Stewart accounting) rather than as a residence.
A motion to approve the certificate as proposed passed unanimously (6–0). The record shows no conditions beyond the standard certificate of appropriateness and no public funding or permit timeline was read into the record during the meeting.
