Lisle OKs special‑use permit for community center at 1050 Warrenville Road

The Village of Lisle on Oct. 6 approved an ordinance granting a special‑use permit and minor planned‑unit‑development change to allow a community center at 1050 Warrenville Road.
Director Smetana told the board the applicant provides social services across the western suburbs and proposed to operate offices at the Lisle location along with adult daycare services, after‑school programs, and other community services. The Plan & Zoning Commission held a public hearing Sept. 17, had no objectors present, and recommended approval.
Staff recommended approval of the special‑use permit; trustees had no substantive objection and voted to approve the ordinance on roll call.
The board approved the permit on a recorded vote. The village will proceed with the conditional use and the minor PUD change under the terms approved by the board and as reviewed by the Plan & Zoning Commission.
