Center School water issue: district says immediate repairs under way, bottled water provided

The Nashoba Regional School District reported a water-supply problem at Center School on Oct. 22 and said technicians will complete repairs over several days, with the district expecting a full return to normal operations by Monday.
"We experienced an issue with the water supply at Center School this afternoon. Our technicians have assessed the situation and repairs will occur over the next few days in anticipation of full return to normal operations on Monday," Mr. Mulcahren told the committee during the superintendent’s report. He said bathroom fixtures were operational, bottled water would be supplied to staff and students as needed, and the district would encourage students to bring reusable bottles. "A notice went out approximately 30 minutes ago to the school community and staff," he added.
Mulcahren thanked the facilities team for responding quickly and said the district arranged to prepare any necessary cooking at Haile while the building’s water system is repaired.
Superintendent Kirk Downing introduced the added item under the superintendent’s report and noted the timing constituted an unanticipated, on-the-spot agenda addition permitted under open-meeting rules.
No interruption of school operations was reported for Oct. 23, and the district indicated it would provide further updates as repairs progress.
