Kaufman County commissioners approve financial reports, authenticate appraisal-district votes and authorize $3.16 million in payments

Kaufman County Commissioners Court on Oct. 28 approved the treasurer’s monthly and quarterly reports, formalized the court’s votes for two nominees to the Kaufman Central Appraisal District board, authorized a budget line-item transfer and approved $3,162,252.52 in claims and payroll. The court also convened an executive session to discuss a county network security matter and reported only that it would continue negotiating on certain issues affecting the county.

The court accepted minutes from the Oct. 21 regular and emergency meetings and declined to impose a burn ban after recent rain. The court voted to cast its ballots for Bruce Wood and Danny Kirby for the Kaufman Central Appraisal District board; court staff said those votes had already been submitted to the appraisal district and the court made them official during…
