Later in the meeting, the board approved the consent agenda, which bundled multiple items including personnel actions, curriculum and instruction items, grants, student trips, educational placements and business items listed on the public agenda.
During the business reports, a board member asked for clarification on agenda item P-2, described on the agenda as "determining the form and other details of $89,000,000 school bonds of the Board of Education." Mr. Baldwin (district official) explained the item concerns the legal form provided by bond counsel that the board must approve ahead of the bond sale. He said the district is targeting a competitive bond sale on March 25 and that certain legal forms must be in place beforehand.
The board also noted referendum-related architectural contracts (FVHD Architectural Group) and other referendum project items were on the agenda. The consent agenda passed by recorded roll call.
The board set its next regular meeting for March 18 and adjourned early because of expected severe weather.
