Garden City — The Garden City Council approved the final plat for the Hasik Townhome subdivision (SUBFY2022‑2) at a Jan. 27 public hearing after the applicant revised the layout to reduce buildable lots and add a public pedestrian connection to Heron Park and the city Greenbelt.
Jeff Hatch of Hatch Design Architecture presented the final plat and said the developer reduced buildable lots from six to five to allow more side‑by‑side parking and to improve circulation for families. Hatch said the new final plat includes a redesigned public connection to Heron Park that links to the Greenbelt, a small seating area at the park entry, bike racks and a bike repair station.
