Denver unveils 'Denver Creates' cultural plan and launches youth, space and branding initiatives

Denver Arts & Venues presented the city’s refreshed cultural plan, Denver Creates, to the Parks, Arts and Culture Committee, outlining a data-driven, citywide approach to expand access to arts and culture, support artists and strengthen the creative economy.

The presentation said the plan was developed from both statistically valid resident surveys and more than 100 in-depth interviews with creative-sector participants. Tatiana Nelvas Diamas, deputy executive director for Arts & Venues, told the committee the planning team intentionally "did not filter what we heard" and built the plan to reflect residents’ and cultural workers’ unedited feedback.

The plan centers three shared commitments: broaden access to arts and culture, cultivate the cultural community and support the creative economy. Arts & Venues said its role is to steward the plan and convene cross-sector partners rather than to act alone.
