After board discussion about funding options and prior practice (including a pandemic‑era transfer from general fund to food service in earlier years), trustees voted “aye” with no recorded opposition and the motion passed. Board members and staff noted the state had signaled potential retroactive coverage to Oct. 1 if state funding resumes; district staff said they were awaiting further formal state guidance.
