Staff reported that round one of applications (deadline April 28) produced 18 submissions and round two had been received the previous day and appeared to contain about 20 applications. A staff committee recommended moving all round‑one applicants forward for assistance; staff said most requests are in the $5,000 range and that rounds remain open while funds last.
No price or contract details were debated in depth at the council dais. The formal motion on the floor asked council to approve the agreement “as to form” and authorized the city manager to amend the contract as necessary. Council approved the motion by roll call; councilmembers recorded their votes as Yes (Kelly, Polica, Johnson, Mikulski, Leaksmae).
Staff said they will begin contractor outreach so awarded homeowners can receive services; staff also indicated they will consider additional social‑media outreach to encourage applications while funds remain available.
