Washington County staff recommend reappointing one fair-board incumbent and appointing one new member

Leah Perkins Hegley, venue manager of Westside Commons and fair manager to the Washington County Fair Board, told the Washington County Board of Commissioners that the fair board and staff are recommending one reappointment and one new appointment to fill two open seats.

Perkins Hegley said the fair board brought three candidates to the board for consideration and that “it is the staff and leadership recommendation from the fair board to ask, for reappointment for Bob Rollinger and to appoint Jason Herrings.”

The recommendation covers two incumbents who had expressed interest in returning, Bob Rolinger and Mitch Nussbaum, and one new applicant, Jason Herrings. Perkins Hegley described Herrings and his family as “longtime supporters of the Washington County Fair as volunteers and also have a very long history of serving, as volunteers and members of Washington County 4‑H.”
