Henrico County supervisors on Feb. 11 accepted the resignation of Eldon Todd Eure from the Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) Board of Directors and appointed the county's director of public works, Terrell Hughes, to serve on the GRTC board.
County staff introduced the resolution accepting Eure's resignation and then presented a companion resolution naming Terrell Hughes, identified in the board paper as Henrico's director of public works, to the GRTC board. Both motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Separately, the board appointed Robert G. Netherland III to the Historic Preservation Advisory Committee for a three-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2027. That appointment was also approved by voice vote as part of the appointments and resignations section of the agenda.
No public comment was recorded on these routine appointments during the meeting. The board accepted the resignation, made the appointment to GRTC, and filled the advisory-committee vacancy in a sequence of motions during the Feb. 11 meeting.
