The Porterville City Council unanimously adopted a resolution approving and ratifying the city’s position pay plans for 2020–2024 following a request from CalPERS for amended documentation.
Staff reported that after labor negotiations conclude, the city presents fully executed memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and that CalPERS recently requested that the council separately approve amendments to the position pay plan covering 2020–2024. Staff recommended adoption to satisfy CalPERS documentation requirements and to allow payroll and retirement records to reflect negotiated wage and benefit changes.
Council member Meister moved to adopt staff’s recommendation; the motion carried unanimously, recorded as a 4-0 vote. Staff will update documentation and forward records as required by CalPERS.
