Commissioners approve courthouse and elections signage; county to add clearer ADA, hearing and vision support

The county’s co-public information officer said she has contacted the marshals to update signage, add more visible signs at the bottom of stairs and to include braille where appropriate. Commissioners approved the contract and instructed staff to coordinate placement, fonts and wording so accessibility improvements do not need repeated updates.
The board emphasized that automatic-door decals and clear ADA messaging should be prominent so visitors with disabilities receive a clear heads-up before reaching the entrance. Staff will return with finalized graphic text and placement for implementation.
