The Troy City School District Board of Education voted on Jan. 13, 2025, to proceed with a renewal levy that will be placed on the May 2025 ballot. The board authorized staff to deliver required documentation to the Miami County Board of Elections as the second step in the process.
Board members described the action as a renewal. The motion to adopt the resolution (listed in exhibit G) was moved and seconded; the board recorded affirmative votes from members present. Board legal counsel and fiscal staff prepare the paperwork used by the county auditor and elections officials.
Board members thanked the community for prior support and noted the resolution only initiates the formal process to place the renewal on the ballot. The transcript records the board clerk and staff describing the item as the second step and clarifying that the submission is to put the renewal before voters on the May ballot.
There was no extended debate recorded. The motion carried by recorded assent of the members present.
