Holmen board recognizes local businesses for youth apprenticeships, welcomes new staff

The board honored Steiger Steel and Fabricating, Rainbow Ridge Farm, Jones Grain Farm and Y Child Watch at the Hauser YMCA for their participation in the district's youth apprenticeship program, which provides students with hands‑on workplace learning in fields such as welding, agriculture and early childhood care. The recognitions were presented as nominations to the Wisconsin Association of School Boards business honor roll.
The board also invited new staff members to introduce themselves. New employees introduced at the meeting included special‑education assistants and support staff who described backgrounds in mental health, special education and natural resources; district leaders thanked the new hires for joining Holmen for the 2025–26 school year.
