Council confirms board and committee appointments; several alternates named

The Taos Town Council approved a set of appointments to regional and local boards and committees, including continued representation and named alternates. Highlights included: Mayor Pro Tem Fambro to continue on the Taos County Cooperative Weed Management Area Board; Council Member (name provided during roll call) to remain on the Taos County Economic Development Corporation board with Council Member Oswald agreeing to serve as an alternate; Council Member Fernandez to continue with the Holy Cross Hospital nominating committee; and a set of alternates named for regional collaboration groups, conservation councils and other advisory bodies. The full slate was approved by roll call vote (unanimous among those present).

Council and staff noted the practical purpose of naming alternates so the town remains represented on regional committees and that staff will circulate meeting schedules and contact information. The appointments were approved without amendment; staff will notify the respective boards and publish appointment lists in the town’s records.
