Council awards $159,759.82 furniture package for Taos Regional Airport terminal to Element Slate

Council members asked about gross-receipts tax treatment and staff confirmed the standard agenda language excludes NMGRT but furniture purchases under the project are not typically taxable. A motion to approve the award passed on a roll-call vote: Council Member Fambro — Yes; Council Member Oswald — Yes; Council Member Ortega — Yes; Council Member Fernandez — Yes.
Staff said a terminal groundbreaking is being scheduled (tentative date cited as Feb. 19) and will notify council when the date is finalized.
