Planning commission continues several subdivision items to Sept. 18

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Planning Commission on Aug. 21 continued several agenda items to the Sept. 18 meeting to allow petitioners and staff additional time for design revisions and for departments to follow up on technical comments.
Continuances granted at the meeting included:
- Bear Street Agape: Petition to vacate a right‑of‑way and replat four lots (approximately 4.1 acres). Planning staff asked for a continuation to Sept. 18 to allow design changes; the motion to continue was approved.
- Denina: Preliminary plat to create eight lots from a roughly 9.14‑acre parcel in the Meadowlakes area. Staff requested a continuance to Sept. 18 to address predesign and engineering concerns; the motion to continue was approved.
Several items were placed on the Sept. 18 agenda along with cases continued earlier in the summer. Public testimony was left open on multiple continuances so neighbors can provide written or oral comments at the rescheduled hearings.
