James Dietrich and county natural-resources staff told commissioners they will submit a concept paper this week to Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) seeking roughly $1.7 million to help backfill a funding gap for the Passamaeza Verde trail project on the Mancos side. Dietrich said Central Federal Lands has increased its construction commitment from about $4.7 million to $10.8 million and that the GOCO ask could change by about $80,000 after reconciling CDOT figures; the full application would be due Sept. 11 if the project is invited to apply.
