Committee members reviewed a contract renewal for the district’s MAP Growth benchmark assessments (commonly called MAPs). Dr. Garrison and district staff explained the contract is the standard annual arrangement for the MAP Growth assessments used for ELA and math benchmarking and that the item was inadvertently omitted from an earlier packet; the contract amount presented for approval was $34,160.
Board member questions referenced a separate technology glitch earlier in the year that delayed a state test; Dr. Garrison and staff explained that the MAPs contract is unrelated to that incident and attributed the state-test delay to a separate testing platform (DRC) and to local laptop updates that required troubleshooting. The committee approved moving the MAP Growth purchase contract to the full board for final action.
