Menands approves firehouse storage wall and attic insulation projects using grants

The mayor said the fiberglass option is cheaper and less dusty and that the project is covered by NYSERDA grant funds. A motion to accept the lower bid (listed in the meeting as $9,005.57) was seconded and approved by the board.
Both measures were approved by motion and voice vote; no opposition was recorded on the record. Village staff said these projects will proceed and that grant paperwork will be used to cover eligible costs.
