Sheriff Darryl Wheeler presented the item and said the cost for renewal is $3,960 and that the sheriff’s office has sufficient funds in administrative accounts to cover the expense. The sheriff said the county had used the software for about a year and that it had improved constituent service: “Our customers in the county can sign up and actually plan their vacation and sign up weeks ahead of time for an appointment. It's worked out great for staff and for also the constituents,” he said.
Commissioners confirmed the purchase would be covered in the budget. The board moved, seconded and approved the contract renewal and authorized the chairwoman to sign the agreement administratively.
