County Administrator Darren Myers presented a list of surplus equipment and vehicles the county plans to sell through Purple Wave auction. The list includes vehicles and equipment from multiple departments; staff said the auction process typically takes a few weeks for Purple Wave to photograph and list items and then one month for the active bidding window.
Myers noted some transferred components (for example, no‑flat tires from an older backhoe were moved to a new Caterpillar backhoe) and said surplus items will be made available for inspection at the Public Works facility by appointment. He said revenue from vehicle sales will be recorded as miscellaneous revenue in department 97 to offset the enterprise fleet program costs.
Commissioner Michael Burgett moved to approve the attached surplus list for sale on Purple Wave and Commissioner Nathan Leiker seconded; the commission voted 3–0 to proceed.
