The Leander City Council unanimously approved a zoning amendment (Z‑24‑0137) on Feb. 6 to modify the PAG Leander H1 planned unit development, allowing an automobile dealership to use about 6.592 acres for inventory storage without a primary structure.
Executive Director of Development Services Griffin explained the amendment would permit the Honda‑Hyundai project to use the lot for vehicle inventory now while reserving a corner of the site for future commercial construction. She said the Planning & Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval at its Jan. 9 meeting.
No members of the public signed up to speak during the hearing, and the council voted unanimously to approve the zoning amendment.
