Board to review policy amendments on discipline of students with disabilities, restraints and opioid antagonist use

Policy 308 (employment contracts) was updated to include resignation notice language and to address superintendent resignation procedures. The administration also proposed a new policy, 823, to address opioid antagonists (naloxone) for school use; if adopted the district would remove naloxone language from policy 210.1 and maintain the opioid antagonist rules in the new standalone policy.
Legal review and next steps: policy staff said the proposed language follows PSBA (Pennsylvania School Boards Association) guidance and legal updates; the items were presented for first reading and will return for final board action in the next policy cycle after review and public comment.
