The board approved minutes from the Dec. 2 reorganization meeting and a Dec. 9 special meeting, approved the monthly bills, and approved multiple personnel and transportation items in a series of motions and roll-call votes.
Personnel approvals included hires and status changes (examples read into the record included Amy Neland as elementary interventionist at master step 1; Brittney Parker changing status to elementary interventionist with unchanged compensation; Natalie Skeer as elementary physical education teacher; Garrett Donnelly as elementary teacher at master step 4; Caitlin McWilliams as elementary teacher at bachelor step 1; and Millie Collins as middle-school long-term social-studies substitute). The meeting recorded roll-call votes for each personnel item; most were approved. Two personnel votes recorded at least one dissenting vote (personnel item 13 recorded a “No” from one board member; personnel item 16 recorded a “No” from another member during roll call).
The board also approved two transportation hires for district vendors and approved extracurricular and class-of-2028 extracurricular items as presented.
In new business the board approved a contract for superintendent-search services with a vendor described in the meeting as Tom Templeton of Templeton Advanced (presented as a contract for “independent search services”); the chair called for the vote and the board approved the contract (“Ayes have it”).
Where the meeting recorded roll-call results, the clerk read votes into the record. The meeting did not provide complete numerical tallies in a single consolidated table; the board secretary’s minutes and the posted agenda packet contain the official roll-call records for each personnel and consent-item vote.
