Commission tables two variance cases that missed community meeting requirement
Summary
Two variance cases (P2025V-001-09 and P2025V-002-09) were not eligible for consideration because they had not completed the required community zoning information meeting; the commission tabled the items to allow them to return once compliant.

The commission moved on Oct. 16 to table two variance cases โ listed in staff materials as P2025V-001-09 and P2025V-002-09 โ after staff reported the applications did not meet the requirement to hold a community zoning information meeting. Commissioners voted to table the items until the applicants complete required pre-application/community meeting steps.
Attorney Wiggins advised the board that tabling the items until the applications reach the required compliance steps is appropriate rather than setting a definite return date. Commissioners approved the motion to lay the items on the table; staff said the items may return once the applicants have satisfied the procedural requirements.
No substantive testimony on merits was taken because staff said the applications were ineligible for consideration at this meeting.
