Commissioners reviewed registration and waiver practices: organizers will continue to accept some walk-up registrations and collect waivers on site while providing a preregistration/QR-coded sign-up for convenience. They agreed to ensure enough medals are available (estimate: under 50 needed) and discussed reordering or commissioning new medals if stock is low.
For youth engagement and photo opportunities, commissioners proposed building painted plywood cutouts (pumpkins, ghosts, scarecrows) with a simple freestanding base for children to pose behind. Several commissioners volunteered access to tools, paint supplies and plywood; staff said the commission could reimburse materials from its budget.
