Daggett County commissioners were told on June 10 that weed growth on the county runway was cleaned up and that several trees along the runway edges will need removal.
County staff said the weeds were large and should have been knocked down before spraying, and that county maintenance crews or contracted workers will remove trees identified along the runway sides. Brett Reynolds raised the issue to county staff, and commissioners discussed whether a named crew member, Trevor, would handle the work.
No formal action was taken; the item was presented as an operations update. Commissioners asked staff to follow up and confirm who will perform the tree removal and to schedule any necessary maintenance work.
