Council reappoints Carla Obledo as presiding municipal court judge; two part‑time judges sworn

The council also approved the appointments of Laurie A. Crockett and Gabriel Quintanilla as part‑time municipal judges for the remainder of two‑year terms ending April 30, 2026. The appointees took the oath of office at the meeting.
Separately, the council approved appointments to boards and reinvestment zones under item 14 earlier in the session; those appointments were moved, seconded and approved without additional discussion.
All three appointments (the presiding judge and the two part‑time judges) were presented as individual nominations and were approved by the council during the June 5 session; the meeting record shows the oath for each successful nominee was administered during the meeting.
