“DeKalb County serves a population of more than 756,000 residents, yet our current police staffing levels are well below the national average,” CEO Cochran Johnson said during a presentation that included a video and a white paper prepared by county staff. The materials showed 841 funded sworn positions and cited 531 filled positions at the time of the presentation.
