Board approves PTA annual fundraising priorities

The Elmhurst CUSD 205 Board of Education approved the Parent Teacher Association’s annual fundraising priorities Dec. 17. Under district policy 8:80 (Gifts to the District), PTA fundraising items at or above $500 require administrative review and board approval. The PTA submits requests to school leadership; administration vets them for parity among schools and whether items are appropriately supplemental rather than district responsibilities.
Doctor Henry moved to approve the PTA annual fundraising priorities; Mrs. Cafforio seconded. The motion carried 7-0. Board members thanked PTA volunteers for their support and noted administrative review and oversight of large fundraising items.
Approved fundraising items will proceed under the schools’ and PTA’s established processes and any school-level oversight required by the administration.
