Lima City Council passes series of resolutions and ordinances on first reading; most votes unanimous

Lima City Council adopted two resolutions and passed more than two dozen ordinances on their first reading during the meeting, with roll-call votes recorded as 7-0 for each item.

The council approved Resolution 125 honoring Michael Poussin and Joe Correll for their work with the Ohio Theatre and Resolution 225 supporting the Ohio Municipal League’s challenge to AT&T tariff issues at the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Councilors then advanced multiple ordinances on their first reading, including the city’s fiscal-year 2025 budget (Ordinance 1625) and a range of administrative and contract items covering annexation petitions, sidewalk projects, utilities contracts, collective-bargaining agreements, and event participation funds.
