Jill Collins, Neighborhood Services and CRA administrative coordinator, updated the Community Redevelopment Agency on the Lincolnville Fix It Up residential repair program and corrected year-labeling errors in the meeting backup materials.
Collins said the city issued eight work orders in the last fiscal year, totaling about $287,000, and highlighted several projects nearing final completion. She said one large Park Place job grew from an initial $84,000 estimate to $96,000 after contractors found additional structural supports needed replacement; another site (Duro Street) is in its final stages and an emergency project that began in 2024 had entered phase two with remaining work including siding, eaves and driveway work at about $58,000.
Collins also said the backup materials contained fiscal-year typographical errors: lines labeled 2025–26 should have read 2024–25, which explains some apparent discrepancies in the packet. Staff said the new allocation for the coming year is $527,800; five projects were moved off the wait list into the current year and an additional application was received, making six active pending projects estimated at roughly $213,000 in total.
A public commenter, BJ Kaleidi of West City, asked for clarification about whether specific addresses (101 Duro Street, 75 Park Place, 37 Wheaton Street) had been completed and noted apparent cumulative-cost figures in the packet. Collins' presentation corrected the fiscal-year labeling; the meeting did not include a staff statement that explicitly listed the completion status of those three addresses, so their completion status was not specified at the hearing.
Commissioners praised the program. No formal action was taken; Collins said staff will continue processing work orders and implementing the program in the new fiscal cycle.
