On June 5, 2025, the Minnetonka Planning Commission adopted a resolution approving the sign plan for Vail (formerly Marsh Run 2) at 11816 Wayzata Boulevard. The item was placed on the meeting's consent agenda and was approved without separate presentation or public comment.
The sign plan was announced as item 7a during the public hearing on the consent agenda. No members of the public asked to pull the item for separate consideration. The commission voted unanimously to adopt the resolution; the vote was recorded in the meeting as affirmative from Commissioners Minion, Waterman, Banks, Hansen and Chair Maxwell. The commission noted that appeals of final planning commission decisions must be submitted in writing to city staff within 10 days of the meeting.
The sign-plan approval was processed on the consent agenda consistent with staff practice for routine items. Staff noted that notice for land use applications in Minnetonka includes property-owner notification within at least 400 feet and posting materials on the city website; for some projects the city also places on-site signs and publishes notices in the Sun Sailor newspaper.
Because the commission acted on this as a final decision, any person wishing to contest the commission's action must file a written appeal with city staff within the 10-day appeal period specified at the meeting.
